Most Amazon storefronts are vanity projects. Brands spend weeks agonizing over fonts and hero images, then publish a store that gets zero structured traffic, has no conversion logic, and sits largely ignored while their ad spend bleeds onto competitor listing pages.

Every Sponsored Brands campaign you run needs a destination. You can send that traffic to a product listing or to your storefront. The storefront is doing PPC work even when you are not thinking about it.

Off-Amazon Traffic Conversion

What we do not include on homepages: long text blocks, brand history copy, tiles that link to external content, or decorative images that consume real estate without advancing a purchase decision.

Tier 2: Category Subpages

If your catalog has more than one product category, each category gets its own subpage. This is where most brands under-invest. A generic "All Products" grid is not a category page. A real category subpage has a specific audience in mind, uses copy that speaks to that buyer's use case, and organizes products by relevance — bestsellers first, supporting SKUs second.

It is a brand-controlled environment where you control the narrative entirely. You can show the product in multiple use contexts, include comparison tiles against your own SKUs, embed a product video, and use editorial copy to address objections before the buyer even reads your listing.

These pages serve a second purpose during promotional events. When a hero product goes on Lightning Deal or has a coupon attached, the feature page becomes a natural destination for SB ad traffic and external campaigns.

Tile Types That Drive Sales vs. Tiles That Fill Space

Tiles Worth Using

  • Product tiles — shoppable, trackable, the core unit of any storefront
  • Text + image tiles — use these for benefit statements, not filler copy

  • Featured deals tiles — only relevant during active promotions, but critical when you have them
  • Shoppable image tiles — lifestyle images with tagged products perform well for apparel, home, and multi-product categories

Tiles That Waste Space

  • Pure decorative image tiles with no product link — looks nice, does nothing
  • Text-only tiles with paragraph-length copy — buyers do not read walls of text in a storefront; they scroll and click
  • Redundant navigation tiles that duplicate your subpage menu — wastes real estate that could hold a product tile

Mobile Is Where Your Buyers Actually Are

More than 60% of Amazon shopping happens on mobile. Your storefront will look different on mobile than desktop, and most brands never preview the mobile view before publishing. This is a significant mistake.

On mobile, large banner tiles collapse and text becomes unreadable. Video tiles that work perfectly on desktop can stack awkwardly on a phone screen. We always build and review storefronts in mobile preview before submission. The tile sizes, text lengths, and image crops that work on desktop rarely survive mobile unchanged.

A practical rule: if the text on a tile requires zooming to read on a phone screen, the text needs to be shorter or the tile needs to be larger. Non-negotiable.

Amazon provides storefront analytics that most brands ignore. They should not. The metrics that matter:

  • Page views by subpage — tells you which pages are getting traffic and which are dead ends
  • Attributed sales — revenue directly credited to storefront visits
  • New-to-brand orders — the metric that shows whether your storefront is actually acquiring new customers, not just serving existing ones
  • Sales per visitor — the truest measure of conversion efficiency
